GCSE Results Day 2024

Students shone in the key core subjects – English Language and Mathematics – with well over half the cohort (56.1%) achieved a grade 9 – 5; a huge 71.3% also achieved between grade 9 – 4.

Elsewhere, those undertaking Product Design and Technology courses dazzled, with 72.2% of students achieving a grade 6 or above! Similar success was also enjoyed in English Literature, which saw just shy of 80% of students collect a grade 9 – 5.

Alongside the school’s collective success, results day was also punctuated by fantastic individual student success stories. Seanna, for example, achieved five 9s, one 8 and a Distinction; she is going on to study A-levels in Biology, English Literature and Psychology at Wyggeston and Queen Elizabeth I College (WQE) and hopes to become a lawyer.

Isla collected six grade 9s, two 8s and a Distinction*. With ambitions to undertake a PhD in the future, she is looking forward to also attending QE, where she will study A-levels in History, Criminology, English and Psychology.

Aiming for a career in the exciting field of neuroscience, Anna will study Biology, Chemistry and History at QE after achieving seven grade 9s (including Biology, Chemistry and Physics) and two 8s.
