Hire our facilities

As part of Lionheart Venues, we are part of a group of contemporary multi-use facilities available for hire throughout Leicestershire. The Lionheart Educational Trust schools have successfully hosted many memorable occasions, events and activities over the years.

Anthea Bell Translation Prize Winners

May 24, 2024

Set up by the University of Oxford in 2020, the competition aims to promote a passion for language learning across the UK. Participating students are tasked with translating a challenging authentic text from either French or Spanish into English. They receive no support from teachers or parents and the texts are deliberately chosen so that online translation tools cannot be used. The purpose of the event – which is currently visiting a selected number of schools all across the country – was to provide students with exposure to aeronautical engineering experts and equip them with relevant information which would peak their interest and encourage them to pursue potential careers in this sector. Navy Chefs Inspire Students in Culinary Challenge

February 15, 2024

The chefs visited the school’s GCSE Food and Hospitality students and tasked them with preparing, cooking and presenting two complex dishes; Chicken Kiev and Mini Pavlovas. Working in groups of six, students were given recipe sheets, a collection of ingredients and were then let loose in the kitchen.
